No entry for four whole days, sorry dear readers, so let’s dive in…

Tuesday we headed out for lunch to the best Mexican food restaurant this side of the border: Los Sanchez. It’s kind of a far drive just for lunch so it’s always a special treat. Blair, Billy, Becky and I first went by Blair’s place to pick up Christie and Sally. Then we all loaded back into the Tahoe and headed for Garden Grove. Lunch was fantastic. After lunch it was off to the Apple Store at South Coast Plaza. Billy’s new PowerBook G4 had been allegedly dropped on the floor or somehow received damage that no one was around to witness, the forensic evidence points to a dropping and then a replacing on the desk, the print work is still out. We got up to the store and realized that there was a virtual queue for the Genius Bar, that’s what they call the support desk, a little pretentious, I think, but I digress. After arriving at the store between 1:30 and 2:00 and Billy’s slotted time at the bar being 4:15ish, we decided to leave him there to fend for himself and take Christie and Sally home. So back to HB to drop them off and then back on the road to Costa Mesa to get Billy. His appointment came a lot sooner than expected and so he was waiting for us in the parking garage lobby, then back to HB again. It’s was somewhat a waste of a trip most of the damaged stuff was not covered under his AppleCare warranty.

I made a quick trip out to Riverside on Wednesday to visit my parents and to do a site inspection on the work going on there. Some may know that they are having a new pool put in along with the hardscape and outdoor kitchen to go with it. Anyway, my wire running expertise was needed to put in outdoor speaker lines before the concrete went in and before all the trenches were closed. Let me say that I was reminded why I live at the beach…it is much too hot out there in August to do any sort of work outdoors. We did get the wire finished and put in all the places it needed to go. The mason is suppose to be there next week to start the tile work, if I head back out I’ll post more pictures as work progresses to the big Grand Opening at Summer’s end. For now, here are some shots from this trip.
